Executing complex facility upgrades in remote locations requires meticulous logistics and absolute adaptability. For this project, Fixed was tasked with delivering a critical infrastructure upgrade at a regional centre, with the strict condition that the facility must remain fully functional for the community throughout the construction process.
To eliminate any risk to the public and staff, our team deployed on a Sunday to establish a comprehensive safety perimeter. By engineered zoning and installing high-standard safety fencing before the standard week commenced, we ensured the centre could operate seamlessly with absolutely zero safety breaches or disruptions. Maintaining a safe live-environment required constant communication; our project manager maintained continual liaison with the Centre Director to ensure seamless site coordination.
As with many complex refurbishments, unexpected site conditions tested the project’s timeline. During excavation, our team uncovered a concealed, severely rotted structural retaining wall that posed an immediate safety hazard. While other contractors would stall for contract variations or pause the timeline, Fixed immediately pivoted. We engineered a rapid, compliant replacement solution on the spot, absorbing the extra workload without a single day of delay.
Faced with both structural surprises and a turn in the weather, our team pushed through heavy rain and worked extended hours to keep the project on track. True to our reputation, we absorbed every physical and environmental constraint to deliver a premium, fully compliant result – on time, on budget, and completely without fuss.
